Tablet (Card) Weaving on an Inkle Loom

Yes, you can use your Inkle Loom to weave with Tablets (aka Cards). Come learn how!

When:  Saturday, October 26, 2024
Where:  The Millhouse in McKinney
Times:  1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Cost: $60

You bring:  Your Inkle Loom, Belt Shuttle, and a pair of yarn scissors. Optional:  Bring your tablets/cards if you have some. [Note: you should be familiar with the path that the warp takes on your loom for a short warp.  If you are not, please look at your loom documentation or reach out to your loom manufacturer.]

I will provide:

• Tablets for you to weave with;
• A selection of weaving patterns;
• A selection of yarn appropriate for tablet weaving;

This is a Hands On class where we jump right into warping our loom and our tablets, then start weaving.  Even though we will set up a fairly narrow project, warping takes up most of our time.  This allows you to develop muscle memory and correct any mistakes while the instructor is there to help you.

Then we will start weaving.  There is a particular set of steps to follow, and you will be well grounded in those steps as you take your inkle loom home to finish your band.
