Weave a Scarf in Two Half-Days (Oct. 8 & 10)
October 8 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$120Learn to weave on a Rigid Heddle Loom by going through the entire process and weaving yourself a scarf!
In this class, you will learn:
- The parts of the Rigid Heddle Loom and how they work;
- How to warp the loom (the “warp” is the strings that go from front to back on the loom);
- How to thread the slots and holes on the loom;
- How to weave properly on the loom, avoiding all the mistakes that new weavers traditionally make;
- How to tie off your fringe and remove your finished scarf from the loom.
No prior weaving experience is required! This is a class for the beginner weaver and anyone else who thinks they want to try weaving! I will bring everything you need (loom, loom stand, yarn, all the small tools). You bring a snack/supper and a drink!
The class is offered in two parts; you must attend both classes to complete your scarf.
Times and Dates: Tuesday, October 8, and Thursday October 10, 6:00-9:00
Cost: $125 ($95 class fee plus $25 reimbursement for the beautiful yarn you will weave with!) The class fee also includes use of one of my Rigid Heddle Looms during the class time.
